Peacock Pavilions   /  Marrakesh travel info

An artisanal boutique hotel

A family owned artisanal boutique hotel, nestled in an old olive grove with a breathtaking view of the Atlas Mountains on the outskirts of Marrakech. The estate is comprised of three pavilions with 5 unique rooms: the Main Pavilion, the Atlas Pavilion and the Medina Pavilion, as well as outdoor areas. The owners, Maryam, her husband, and two children continue to live at Peacock Pavilions where they share their own slice of a Marrakesh oasis with resident peacocks Maurice, Persephone and Gigi, five cats, one mischievous yellow labrador and any guests lucky enough to be stopping through.

They believe that all travel experiences should be good, make good, and do good...

Special Project

The hotel, like the rest of the M.Montague brand, supports Project Soar, a non-profit organization established the couple to uplift underprivileged communities, especially its girls and women, through art and fitness. 10% of profits from Peacock Pavilions go to sourcing Project Soar.

Nice to know

M.Montague is a Marrakesh-based brand that brings to life the travel, design, hospitality and humanitarian passions of its founder, Maryam Montague. They like to think of themselves as a ‘modern tribe,’ with a community of cultural ambassadors who support ethnic arts and traditions and embrace socially responsible lifestyles. Quirky and contemporary, their bohemian style radiates in their interior design ideas, unique home goods, handcrafted foods, and one-of-a-kind travel experiences.

Atlas Mountains

Morocco's hidden travel gem the High Atlas, North Africa’s greatest mountain range, contains some of the most intriguing and beautiful regions of Morocco. A historical and physical barrier between the northern plains and the pre-Sahara, its Berber-populated valleys feel – and indeed are – very remote from the country’s mainstream or urban life.

They delight in menus featuring farm-to-table, authentic Moroccan cuisine with a twist.

To enhance your experience, meals are served in several locations, depending on the weather and size of your group. These may include terraces, the pool cabana, private dining rooms or their one-of-a-kind painted Arabian dining tent. As they are a small property, guests must provide advance notice for lunches and dinners. They do their best to accommodate food preferences and vegetarians are welcome.

A retreat at Peacock Pavilions will nurture the soul, leaving memories of Moroccan beauty and kindheartedness. The pavilions have already been a successful host to a number of retreats. It’s the ideal destination for those who love travel and who want to share their expertise or learn in an exotic, inspirational setting.

Guests have the exclusive opportunity to shop Maryam’s hand-picked, tribal chic pieces at Peacock Pavilions. In the M.Montague Souk, you’ll find a selection of items perfect for the modern nomad -- jewelry, textiles, carpets, and soft furnishings. Most pieces are handmade – handloomed, handknotted or hand dyed, and many are embellished with hand sequinning or hand embroidery.  Maryam is passionate about symbols and meanings and each item in the Souk has its own story.
